Via the communal hallway and one flight of stairs you get access to the first floor apartment (2nd floor for Americans). Upon entering the apartment you arrive in the hallway, which features a shoe rack and coat rack. The front of the apartment has a spacious living room with an absolute marvellous waterfront view with unfeathered views of the historic Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmusuem), Nemo and the East Chuch (Oosterkerk). The mid section of the apartment features the bathroom, with walk-in shower, bathroom vanity and make-up mirror, and a towel dryer rack. Toilet is in a separate area. At the rear of the apartment is the cosy kitchen, which offers nice views to the communal garden. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped (fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine). There is also a small dining/breakfast table, which can also be placed outside on the balcony. The very spacious bedroom is also at the back of the apartment, and is very quiet; also facing the communal garden.
The apartment is located at the edge of the “busy tourist area” of the centre, but is in the more quiet part of the centre. As a typical Amsterdam apartment should be, it is situated waterfront. With some main attractions just around the corner, or a 5 minute walk at most: Waterloo Square, Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum), Nemo, Botanical Garden, Artis Zoo, or the famous IJ-beer Garden & Brewery. Central Station is only one stop by bus, or a 10 walk. Actually from the living room you can see most of them. The apartment is on a cul-de-sac, which means there is hardly any motorized traffic in the street. In case parking is needed, an outdoor parking area can be rented easily (separate owner) approximately 50 metres from the front door. Access to the IJ-tunnel takes about 2 minutes by car. Various supermarkets are all in walking distance, as well as Stopera and Carré theatre.
